Portrait of Shervin Hajipour. At the start of the protests, Iranians tweeted all the reasons they were protesting the regime. Shervin composed a protest song comprised of people’s tweets. His song, Baraye, meaning “for” or “because of” has now become the anthem of the revolution, winning the special merit Grammy Award for best song for social change.
