Mikael Taieb is a French-Canadian artist born in Paris, with Parents born in Tunisia and Algeria, immigrating first to France-Paris, and then to Toronto 30 years ago with Mikael and his sister. A few years ago Mikael returned to Paris for his art studies and started his international career as a professional actor, Rubik’s cube pixel art artist and Rubik’s cube performer. He met his wife in Paris, a French-Vietnamese-Italian professional Ballet dancer. Together they have two kids born in Paris with also a Canadian nationality. After a very long international career they decided to try a brand new family adventure by moving from France to live in Toronto and give their kids more opportunities to explore the world by meeting new people with different backgrounds, diversities and religions.

With his art Mikael wants to show that life Is as colourful and complicated as a Rubik’s cube but if we put our mind into it by searching for the right algorithms, life can be as beautiful as a giant piece of art. 43 quintillions is the number of ways we can mix up a Rubik’s cube for only one result, the total resolution of that cube. And if we compare our everyday life to a Rubik’s cube, We all have different colours, different histories, different backgrounds, different ways of thinking, different values, and our goal the time of life is to find the right algorithms for ourselves, our families, children, friends, in order to live all together in a perfect harmony.
