Harry Kooy

Harry Kooy has been making and exhibiting sculptures in the Kitchener-Waterloo area since 2012. In 2022 Harry retired from his career as an auto mechanic so that he could concentrate on his creative efforts. Over time, his work has diverged into making wire sculptures and copper machines. Harry uses very simple tools to work with steel, copper, brass, stone and wood. He is inspired by the natural world, fantasy and the machines of the 19th century. His work has been on display at the Homer Watson House and Gallery in Kitchener, the Uptown Gallery in Waterloo, the Art District Gallery in Kitchener, and the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair.
