Raku Chalice Vase

Artist: Tamara Alissa, 2021
Size: 9×8″

1 in stock

Fired in an outdoor home-made raku kiln. This is one of the most traditional methods of firing pottery. The bisqued piece is placed in a gas-powered kiln, fired up to around 900 degrees Celcius, pulled out with tongs while hot, placed under a metal bin with organic materials such as sawdust, twigs and found feathers in order to create different patterns of grey and black.
