The GerrardART Community Revitalization Project is an ongoing Riverdale Hub Project, that was officially launched in September. Made possible by a generous StreetARToronto grant from the city, Riverdale Hub ��s GerrardART Project consists of a compelling mural on a major wall starting at 1322 Gerrard Street East, the vibrant re-painting of all storefront façades on the block, and wraps around the block to end with a dramatic mural on the eastern façade of 1330 Gerrard St. By aiming to counter vandalism, increase traffic to the area and promote local economic development, this ambitious undertaking will be a catalyst for change and revitalization in the entire Gerrard Bazaar area.
The GerrardART project is a perfect example of the Riverdale Hub ��s vision: talented, innovative people gathering on an equal footing across gender, class and generational dividing lines in an open and sustainable space in order to create something amazing and transformative.
